JIDO attended a memorial Service our elder Mego Josephine Amato Otunnu at the Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford on Saturday the 11th January 2013. In a glittering ceremony, hundreds of Ugandans attended a truly thanksgiving service for the life of Mama Otunnu. The service was presided over by Reverend Canon Edmund Newey, the sub dean of Christ Church Cathedral who was assisted by the Reverend Dr. Jonathan K. “Lubermoi” Stubbs.
During the service, the first reading which was the psalm 23 was read by Achola Faith Otunnu and the second reading that followed the Hymn ‘Amazing Grace’ which came from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 was read by Prof Omara Otunnu’s daughter Larib.
We pray for the intercession of our Blessed Martyrs Daudi Okello and Jildo Irwa and may her soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
