Blessed Jildo Irwa and Blessed Daudi Okello feast day celebration was spectacular. The day was well attended by over 400 community members from Acholi London, Acholi Oxford, Lango, Teso, Southern Sudan and Buganda.
JIDO saw the first baptism and blessing of 8 children on this great day. The event gave a new meaning to the community and the spirit of the two martyrs were present at work during the holly mass. Key event from the reception was marked by a presentation from JIDO Chair Moses Lam who talked about the Martyrdom of Blessed Jildo Irwa and Blessed Daudi Okello. Parents of the baptized children also gave their testimonies and gratitude to community members.
It can be said that JIDO has now become the focal point our community in the UK as can be seen from the photos of the event.
